If I could, I would dedicate this to all the book and video game characters
who kept me company throughout forty plus years of holidays from my childhood, adolescence and beyond..
Most of all, to the authors, programmers and illustrators who made those “little”
mercies possible.
May the day come soon where they are no longer at risk of being used, manipulated and taken for granted by an ancient system jammed to the rafters with inhumane and talentless souls not even fit to tie our brothers’ shoes.
